Privacy Policy

Our Promise in Short

• The name and birth date you type in the tool stay in your browser. We do not send them to our server and we do not save them.
• We use Google Analytics to see how many people use the site.
• Third parties, such as Google, may show ads and use cookies on this site.
• We do not sell your personal information.

What You Type Into the Tool

When you use the arcana calculator, your name (optional) and your birth date are used to work out your result. This happens inside your own browser. The information is not sent to our server and is not stored by us. When you close or refresh the page, it is gone.

If you save your result as an image or a PDF, or share it, that file is made on your own device. After that, who sees it is up to you.

Information We Collect Automatically

Like most websites, when you visit us, some basic technical information is collected by our hosting service and by our analytics tool. This can include your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit, the time you spend on them, the website that sent you here, and your approximate location (such as country or city). We use this to keep the site safe and working, and to understand which pages people find useful.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure traffic on our website. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar tools to collect information such as the pages you view and how you found us. We also send a few simple event names to Analytics, such as "a result was calculated" or "a result was downloaded", but never your name or birth date. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Cookies and Local Storage

Cookies are small files that a website puts on your device. We use cookies and local storage in these ways:

• Your theme choice. Your browser remembers if you picked the dark or the light theme, so the site looks the same when you come back. This stays on your device.
• Analytics cookies from Google Analytics, as described above.
• Advertising cookies from third parties, as described below.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, some parts of the site may not work as well.

Google DoubleClick DART Cookie

Google is one of the third-party vendors on our site. It also uses cookies, known as DART cookies, to serve ads to our site visitors based upon their visit to arcanacalculator.us and other sites on the internet. However, visitors may choose to decline the use of DART cookies by visiting the Google ad and content network Privacy Policy at the following URL: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads

Our Advertising Partners

Some of the advertisers on our site may use cookies and web beacons. Our advertising partners are listed below. Each of our advertising partners has their own privacy policy for their policies on user data. For easier access, we hyperlinked to their privacy policies below.

Third-party ad servers or ad networks use technologies like cookies, JavaScript or web beacons in their ads and links that appear on our site. These are sent straight to your browser, and they automatically receive your IP address when this happens. They may use this to measure how well their ads work and to personalize the ads you see. We do not have access to or control over the cookies that these third parties use.

You can learn more about personalized ads and how to turn them off at Google Ads Settings or at optout.aboutads.info.

Push Notifications

This site may ask if you want to get push notifications. This is always your choice. If you say yes, your browser creates a unique subscription token, and that token (not your name or birth date) is used to send you notifications. You can stop notifications at any time by turning off notifications for this site in your browser or phone settings.

Files We Load When You Download Your Result

When you tap the Download Image, Download PDF or Share button, the site loads two open-source helper scripts (html2canvas and jsPDF) from the cdnjs content delivery network. The provider of that network can see your IP address when your browser asks for these files. We do not send your result or your birth date to them. The file is created on your own device.

Links To Other Websites

Our pages, including the footer, link to other websites, such as other tools by the same creator and the support page for buying us a coffee. When you leave our site, this policy no longer applies, so please read the privacy policy of the site you visit. We are not responsible for how other sites treat your data.

Children's Privacy

This website is not made for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you think a child has given us personal information, please write to us and we will look into it.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, such as California or the European Economic Area, you may have the right to ask what information a business has about you, to ask for it to be deleted, or to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information. Most of the data on this site is held by Google (Analytics and ads), so you can control it in your Google settings or with the links above.

If you want to ask us something about your data, write to us at the email below.

How We Protect Your Information

The website uses HTTPS, so the data between your browser and our site is encrypted. We keep very little data, and we do not keep what you type into the tool. Still, no website on the internet can be 100 percent safe, so we cannot promise full security.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. Please check it now and then.
